We understand that it can be tough to figure out what your USP is, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Plus, if you don't have one that you know of, you can always invent one. Add something a little more to your business, and then go market the pants off of it.
Poor Marketing
Speaking of marketing, that could be another one of your issues. We do understand that marketing is a sensitive topic for some businesses as they may have been told that it's not that important. We can assure you that it is, and you have got to start putting some effort in there if you want to bring in more people. Don't forget, marketing is the way that people know about your business, and it's the only thing that you can use directly from you to get them interested in the first place.
Unprofessional Look
The final problem could simply be that your business has an unprofessional look and this is causing you issues. For example, if you work from home and have your home address listed, some people feel as though this means you are not offering whatever you do to the same standard as others. Of course this isn't true, but perception matters. As such, you need a business address, a business phone number, a functional and easy to use website at the very least.
